Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Templar Order,
On this day, 13 October 2025, we bow our heads before history, not to mourn a bygone era, but to honour a living memory. More than seven centuries ago, in the year of grace 1307, the Order of the Temple was struck by an injustice of state, orchestrated by temporal power and sealed in the silence of prisons.
This day marks the beginning of the Templar Passion.
The knights were arrested, humiliated, tortured, and for some, condemned to the stake. But their faith, their discipline, and their loyalty to the ideal of the Temple were never consumed. The fire did not destroy the spirit — it sanctified it.
Today, we commemorate not a fall, but an elevation. That of an Order which, across the centuries, continues to uphold the values of justice, truth, and service. That of a spiritual lineage which has never submitted to the compromises of the world.
May this date be for us a call to vigilance, moral rigour, and fidelity to our vocation. May our words be imbued with wisdom, our actions with charity, and our commitments with light.
We pray for the souls of our fallen brothers, for the purification of historical lies, and for the continuity of our mission.
